Elaine Herscher
Elaine Herscher, MA, is a journalist with a master's degree in health education. She is a formerSenior Managing Editor at Consumer Health Interactive (CHI), an Internet health content producer,where she was engaged in assigning, editing and production management for print and multimediaprojects and helped lead the team to win more than 70 national journalism awards. In 2004, Herscher coauthored the book Generation Extra Large: Rescuing Our Children from theEpidemic of Obesity. The book was dubbed "a must-read for parents" by the Washington Post andpraised by Newsweek and other national publications. She is a former longtime staff reporter for theSan Francisco Chronicle, where she specialized in health reporting. Herscher is currently acommunications specialist and editor for Lifelong Medical Care, based in Berkeley, Calif., and is currently CCO of Limehealth LLC.
