Rich Holmes

Rich Holmes is a freelance journalist focusing on health news who lives on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. He earned a BS in journalism from Boston University. Rich covered hard news and features during his previous career in daily newspapers. In addition to reporting, he worked as a copy editor, page designer and associate managing editor. He was awarded a fellowship in nuclear power from the Knight Center for Specialized Journalism and had his page design work recognized by the New England Associated Press Executives Association. His articles for HealthDay have appeared in U.S. News & World Report, WebMD, Livestrong and other online outlets, and he has contributed many pieces for Cancer Treatment Centers of America. He is also a regular contributor to Cape Cod Health News. The son of a general practitioner and a registered nurse, Rich has enjoyed a lifelong fascination with health and health care.
